PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 29, 2009 – Los Angeles, CA – As Southland residents begin planning holiday parties for their families and employees, this year more than ever they are looking for something new to spice up their celebrations. The party planners at Zebra Entertainment and Events have noticed this new trend already.
Typically people book the traditional favorites, like Santa Claus, elves making balloon animals, and Dickens carolers. This year they’re asking for carolers who can also lead sing-alongs with the family, or a hilarious caroling show that spoofs the well-known songs. They want a snow princess to entertain the children, and real reindeer to pose for pictures. Even Hanukkah parties want more diverse entertainment this season.
With the recent opening of the second Twilight movie, New Moon, which features werewolves, some customers are looking at having a live wolf come to their party for petting and photo opportunities. Zebra Entertainment and Events will even be decorating their white pony to look candy-striped. Other people are asking about monkeys, giant reptiles and birds of prey to make an appearance at their Christmas party.
“I don’t remember anyone booking exotic animals for a holiday party before, but this year they certainly are,” says owner Shelly Mazer. “People want to stop stressing and just enjoy this holiday season. They are tired of skimping, but don’t want to go overboard either. They want good value for their money, and they want to mix it up a little, try something new. When they ask for Christmas party ideas, they love when we suggest a live Christmas ornament with an acrobat inside, or a comedy juggling elf band on stilts!”
Zebra Entertainment and Events is a full-service party planning company that has been booking shows throughout Southern California since 1982, with hundreds of repeat clients like the LA Dodgers, Amtrak, Hollywood Park, Manhattan Village Shopping Center, Edwards AFB, Six Flags Magic Mountain, and a couple hundred schools and camps. Planning over 1000 shows a year, they have the experience to help people choose the right entertainment for their guests and their budget.

Penny & Reverse Auction The New Rage On The Internet ?
PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 28, 2009 – There seems to be a great deal of chat and controversy about the origins and the concepts behind these auctions, for runners in the development of these auctions were telebid, and then swoopo, for the sake of space we will illustrate just one of these telebid although the concept is identical to swoopo or at least it seems very close.
so whats the fuss about ?
before we get into the concept let me say this, since the introduction of telebid and swoopo auctions there have been a huge influx of wannabes, mostly people selling swoopo or telebid clone each with a different skin( template so they look different ) after having purchased several of these so called clones one thing became apparent be it deliberate or a flaw in the code, you be the judge the clone have a tendency to fall part after a certain amount of products re listed and a certain amount of visitors start using the site, meaning if the site becomes popular and the owners start to see an abundance of members and list a reasonable amount of products for auction the site seems to slow down, burn up the servers etc. when you contact the sellers of the script the blame the customer for the problems claiming it's their servers, or someone has hacked into the panel,or server and ruined the script on purpose. this behavior is suspect, since it is highly unlikely that after this has happened several time what are the chances of this same problem happening over and over to different customers. and then you would have to ask the question who benefits if these clone to don't work as well as the original swoopo or telebid auctions, not the purchaser of the script, not the customer who is trying to join and win ? the winners seem to be telebid and swoop because as a last resort customers have no choice but to use their site to win anything.
during our research we have found several odd coicidences, several of the sellers of these clones have reselers who have reseller, all seeming leading back to guess who, ?????
Now I have found several developers who have created their own custom versions of the penny/reverse auction script one being protopenny
I have purchased the script you can seeit at www.swoopbug.com it works great a few bugs, but on my part not theirs, works better than swoopo/telebit and was developed to handle a large load if you want info contact me at richardaustin1@yagoo.com
here is the views about the penny auctions rage? but the real issues seem to be are the vendoers allowed to make a lot of money as long as the cutomers get what they bargained for ? We say yes how about you ?
order to understand the heavy criticism and controversy that Telebid caused in its home country it is necessary to understand the basic concept of the whole thing, i.e. how Telebid works. I’ll do my best to explain.
Telebid sells brand new stuff through a unique bidding system. Those can be products such as ipods, LCD-TVs or even cars. Every product starts at a ridiculously low price to attract the maximum number of potential buyers. Everybody who is interested in buying can express their interest by placing a bid. As soon a bid has been placed a countdown for that specific product is set in motion. It counts down a specific amount of time, e.g. 15 seconds. Should this countdown elapse with nobody else placing a bid, the last bidder gets to buy the product at the current price. The current price is determined by number of bids on that products, meaning it increases marginally with every bid that has been placed.
A ficticious example to illustrate the concept: A brand new car is offered by telebid at a starting price of 1 GBP. Approx. 500 visitors decide that they are interested in buying a car at that price. Visitor 1 places a bid – the price of the car goes up by 10 pence. The timer for this product starts counting down from 15 seconds. Within these 15 seconds visitor 2 decides that the car is still worth buying at 1,10 GBP and places a bid when the counter shows 5 seconds to go. Again the price goes up by 10p. The timer restarts its counting from 15 seconds. Now visitor 3 decides to place a bid… and so on.
Clear?
So assuming each of those 500 people that initially saw the car popping up on the telebid website actually decide to place a bid the price would be at 61 GBP which would still be a pretty good bargain for a brand new car, wouldn’t it?
What’s in it for Telebid?
Reading telebid’s aggressive advertising slogans you are lead to believe that you can save tons of money by obtaining products at 90% off the retail price. Indeed, browsing through some old telebid “auctions” gives the impression that telebid users buy products for quite a bit less than their worth. So how does Telebid finance the whole thing? After all there are not just bills to pay for the products telebid is selling. The whole thing needs to be highly profitable as well. Especially since Wellington Partners, the primary investor behind Telebid has pumped 3 million Euros into the startup.
To understand how telebid can afford to sell products below their retail price and still make huge profit will become clear when I tell you that visitors have to pay for each bid they place. 50p to be quite exact. So take the example from above with 500 people having bid on a brand new car. If you care to calculate Telebid will already have earned 250 GBP by the time the price of the car has reached 61 GBP. Now, considering how many hundreds of people visit the telebid page at any given moment, how likely do you think it might be that during the bidding of those 500 people (approx. 10 minutes) another 500 will have decided that 61 GBP is a pretty good bargain?
In the end the car might sell at a bargain price of 5,001 GBP but telebid will cash in the 5001 plus 25,000 GBP through bids.
What’s in it for you?
Not much unless you enjoy a good thrill and are willing to pay accordingly. But then you might want to check the nearest casino in your neighbourhood. My bet is, you’ll get more a hell of a time out of it there and even get away with loosing less of that precious cash than with telebid. No, seriously! Consider the odds. You COULD end up being the lucky one betting exactly within those 15 seconds when everybody else has lost interest. But then you COULD also win the lottery… Or you could end up as one of those 999 bidders that (together) paid 25,ooo pounds without getting anything out of it but a momentary thrill of dreaming about a bargain. Convinced? If not I am curious as to how many lost bids is it going to take to convince you. Go ahead and try it!
I am looking forward to reading your experiences in the comment section below!

Oak Floors Online: 93 Per Cent Prefer Wooden Flooring over Carpeting in Their Homes
PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 26, 2009 – When it comes to home decor, there are many difficult decisions to be made with regards to furniture and materials. One of the biggest dilemmas that can be faced can be the number of flooring options available. Do you install the traditional carpeting in your home, or go for the more modern hardwood flooring? It seems that, for most people, there is no contest; wooden flooring wins every time.
In a recent survey conducted by online retailers Oak Floors Online, a massive 93 per cent of participants said that they preferred to have hard wood flooring in their homes rather than carpet.
One of the main reasons given for preferring wooden flooring to carpets is that it is much easier to clean and maintain. Dirt and stains are easily wiped clean from a wooden floor, whereas removing stains from carpet can require a lot of time and elbow grease. Many times, the stain cannot be eradicated completely.
One participant said: “If you spill something [on wooden floors] it’s easily mopped up, but if you spill on carpet, it’s a nightmare trying to clean. I prefer wood simply because of the dirt and grime that carpet gathers.”
Another said: “We had a party a few months back and drinks were spilled left right and centre, but this was not a problem because [the wooden floor] was easily mopped.
“We also have a dog so her mucky feet are easily mopped off the floor.”
Another valid argument for hardwood flooring is the issue of domestic dust mites. Dust mites in the home are one of the biggest triggers of attacks in asthma sufferers, with over 85 per cent sensitive to them. Therefore, having houses completely furnished with carpet is only going to make the situation for sufferers worse by increasing their exposure to them.
Installing a hardwood floor is an excellent solution as it can be cleaned more easily, and has less potential for trapping dust and its associated mites. Also, wooden flooring lasts a lot longer than carpet, and will never go out of fashion.
The Oak Floors Online Company specialises in top quality oak flooring and prides itself on over-delivering when it comes to customer service and quality of product. Whether you’re looking for wooden flooring for your home or business venture, Oak Floors Online is sure to have a type of flooring suitable for your needs.

Commercial Refrigeration and National Food Standards & Requirements
PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 26, 2009 – Commercial refrigeration equipment is an absolute requirement for any business, restaurant, café or food factory where food is handled, stored or sold. Correct refrigeration of foods is not only a legal requirement but will ensure your food – which you’ve paid money for – will stay fresh, tasty and edible. High quality refrigeration suppliers, like Crown Commercial Group, will advise you on the best commercial refrigeration equipment for you and your business.
All refrigerators, including commercial refrigeration equipment, are designed to keep food at a low temperature which slows down the bacterial growth in foods. Bacterial growth is rapid in food when temperatures are between 4 - 60˚C and this is often referred to as the Danger Zone as bacteria can sometimes double in as little as 20 minutes. It is best to set your refrigeration equipment at below 4˚C as this will protect most foods again bacterial growth.
All commercial food professionals should ensure their kitchens are equipped with commercial refrigeration equipment that protects food from the two serious types of bacteria that can develop in food:
- Pathogenic Bacteria – this bacteria causes foodborne illness
- Spoilage Bacteria – these bacteria cause food to deteriorate and start to smell, taste bad and change textures.
http://www.crowncommercialgroup.com.au/about-crown-comme ...
Protect your food and your customers by installing the correct commercial refrigeration equipment in your restaurant or café and ensure it is set to the correct temperature.
Another issue that can arise in commercial kitchens is the use of cleaning chemicals. Some people feel that when cleaning food preparation surfaces or refrigeration equipment natural cleaning products are best. If you want to avoid cleaning your refrigeration equipment and other cooking equipment with chemicals then some natural ways to clean are below:
- Use a mixture of equal parts water and vinegar to wipe inside commercial refrigeration equipment. Vinegar is great for destroying mildew.
- Mix together baking soda and water to wash the inside of refrigerators and other storage areas. This is a natural cleaner but allow units to air out afterwards.
- Place loose coffee grounds or baking soda in an open container at the bottom of your refrigeration equipment. Bad smells will be drawn into the coffee or baking soda.
http://www.crowncommercialgroup.com.au/about-crown-comme ...
Crown Commercial Group knows all about the commercial kitchen industry and especially about what commercial refrigeration equipment you may need in your business. They offer a service that is second to none and a range that will ensure that you find exactly what you are looking for. Their showroom service is fantastic as they listen to your needs and make suggestions based on your requirements and their knowledge.
Their commercial refrigeration equipment after-sale service is just as good as their showroom service. They offer a 24 hour in house service team of qualified refrigeration and catering equipment technicians who are on hand to help you with any emergency refrigeration equipment breakdowns- 24/7.
If you’re looking for exceptional service, quality commercial refrigeration equipment and a great after sale service then call the experts at Crown Commercial Group. They will do everything they can to find you the commercial refrigeration equipment that you need for your business. Phone them today on 1800 771 776 or take a look at their range on their website at http://crowncommercialgroup.com.au>.

The second blog, called Luggage Sets and Digital Cameras for Travel, located at http://www.luggagesetsanddigitalcamerasfortravel.com, provides a similar focus touching on travel topics including luggage sets, leather luggage, HD camcorder, digital cameras and camcorder accessories.
Below is a reprinted post, titled Digital Cameras Preserve Awesome Accomplishments of Ancestors, from the Luggage Sets and HD Camcorder for Travel blog, to show off an example of what is being said within this social network:
Last weekend I took a vacation with my family and went up north to visit some distant cousins. All I can say is that my digital cameras really got a workout. We were going from sunrise to sunset, touring the countryside, watching Midwest farmers bring in their corn crops, tromping through the woods and walking around the small lakes that dot the area. I must have taken hundreds of pictures with my digital camera over those few days. Now I'm home and using my spare time in the evenings to edit the pictures before sending them around my circle of friends and family.
I found all the sites we toured really fascinating, especially the huge stone foundation that was once a Bermed barn my ancestors built for their cattle. They were dairy farmers and must have worked incredibly hard to build the 50' x 30' barn. I took extensive pictures of it with my digital camera because I've never seen anything like it before. The rocks they used were massive boulders and the foundation is still standing, 150 years later.
Accomplishments like that are worth recording. I plan to take the photos of the rock walls to have them printed on coffee mugs for my relatives for Christmas to further preserve the extreme accomplishments made by our ancestors eking out a life on the Minnesota prairie.

Tan Like A Nudist Without Turning Other People's Cheeks Red
PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 24, 2009 – Innovative tan-through swimwear fulfils naked ambitions without the nudity
A UK swimwear supplier has developed a range of beachwear designed to help people cover up their modesty and still catch an all-over tan.
With clothing-optional beaches in sharp decline, English manufacturer Kiniki is determined to help bathers fulfil naked ambitions by covering up with cossies and togs that let the right amount of sun in but keep you covered up.
“We have nothing against nudism but we are proud our costumes give sun worshippers the choice,” says John Walker, founder of Kiniki.
“Our tan-through designs fit like a second skin and we think they are the next best thing to being naked.”
Kiniki’s patented fabric is made up of a fine mesh covered in an optical illusion of patterns, meaning that while it is effectively see-through, the wearer’s privates are kept private.
“This is a chance for the more modest to cover up while also getting a great tan, which is why the range has already been such a massive hit in the UK this summer,” says Walker.
“Even in parts of the world where they have a more relaxed view of stripping off for the sauna or braving the beach in the buff, there will be times when you can’t go topless, so go tan-through.”
Established in 1976, Kiniki has grown from a bedroom start-up business for mail order men’s underwear into a manufacturing success story with more than 30 million sales worldwide.
-Ends-

Homeowners with Green Thumbs Learn of Green Shed Kits
PR Log (Press Release) –
Nov 22, 2009 – Late in the fall, the homeowner with a green thumb faces a daunting problem. He or she has lots of equipment that needs to be stored. He or she could use an outdoor shed kit. Now a company called Solid Build, Inc. has announced that it plans to offer newer and cheaper versions of the original shed kits.
In the past, the homeowner who purchased one of the original kits had reason to worry about the possible twisting, curling or shrinking of the kit’s logs. Now however, the pine logs used in the newest kits never display any of those detrimental characteristics. Those logs have been dried in a kiln. Moreover, those logs come from pine trees that have enjoyed between 40 and 50 years of growth.
A garden cabin made out of wood is much sturdier than one of the old vinyl sheds. At the same time, a structure designed from wood can highlight the creative inclinations of the man or woman who owns the property on which that shed is located. In other words, the newest type of sheds can showcase the stylistic abilities of the varied homeowners.
Suppose that a homeowner with an outdoor storage facility knows that nature can send heavy snows into the locale surrounding a planned, backyard structure. That homeowner would probably want to put a sloping roof on any type of shed. Suppose though that the homeowner lived in a more moderate climate. In that case, the homeowner might well request a saltbox roof for any planned shed.
In addition, a homeowner can stylize other features of a shed made from any of the new kits. The homeowner can stipulate the height, width and depth of the assembled structure. By the same token, the homeowner can ask that a wooden partition be added to the materials in any shed kit. In that way, a homeowner can call for the preservation of at least one extra log.
Sled gear might be combined with gardening equipment in the shed that sits in the backyard of a large family. On the property owned by a childless couple, or by a retired couple, a shed is more apt to hold more specialized equipment. It might, for example, have hooks for fishing gear, or it might have added storage space for collected automobile parts.
Of course, an environmentally conscious homeowner cares less about what has been stored in a shed than about the materials that were used to make that shed. Such a homeowner should take note of the “green” materials used in these newest kits. Not one of those kits contains any toxic plywood. Not one of those kits forces the homeowner to put plasticized shingles on the roof of his or her shed.
The Europeans who colonized the American continent built “green” cabins, but they did not take the time to construct any green sheds. Today, however, any property owner can think about placing a green shed on his or her land. Such a homeowner can go online and order one of the new shed kits.

Hey Its White lilly... Know About it..!!
PRLog (Press Release) –
Nov 19, 2009 – White Lily
Lily is the common name for the Liliaceous, a plant family numbering several species, widely distributed over the earth and particularly abundant in warm temperate and tropical regions. Some forms (Lilium longiflorum, L. candidum, oriental lilies) are highly perfumed but white only; others (Asiatic lilies) are highly coloured but scent-free. Availability: All year.
White Lily is a flower in RuneScape. Members can grow it from a White lily seed at level 52 Farming.
They are grown in the flower patch. Players gain 70 experiences when planting, and 250 experiences when harvesting. It protects all neighboring fruit and vegetables from disease. This protection does not apply to herb patches. Unlike regular farmed flowers, the white lily turns to ashes as you pick them. The seeds are bought from Wilson for 1 mole skin. In order to buy the seeds, the player must have completed the level 3 achievement diary for Falador first and the Falador shield 3 must be wielded. A player will gain 1 white lily seed and 1 Bird's nest per hide. The bird's nest may have a either a random seed or ring inside of it when searched.
In Christian symbolism, the white lily represents purity, chastity and innocence. As the flower of the Resurrection and of the Virgin it is widely used at Easter. The white lily of the Bible (Cant. 2.1) has been variously identified with the scarlet anemone, Madonna lily, and other plants; the “lilies of the field” (Mat. 6.28) probably means any wildflowers, perhaps the iris. In fact, the Convalleria variety- also known as ‘lily of the valley’, with two long oval leaves and spikes of white bell-shaped flowers represents the Tears of the Virgin Mary, a resurgence of happiness. White lily bouquets are especially popular in Christian homes, during the Easter holiday, for they symbolize Christ’s resurrection.
Unlike all other flowers, white lilies do not require watering. And they can't really be harvested as they turn to ashes when picked.
http://www.giftblooms.com/gifts/united-states/Lilies.php
White Lily is a flowering plant, which belongs to the Lilium family and normally grows from bulbs. They are referred to as the Liliaceaes, and comprise of a genus of almost 110 species. Most of the species of this plant are perennial in nature and have an enlarged underground stem. From this stem, grow long and erect grass like leaves. Some species are woody and some are also trees of small stature.
The lily flowers unlike many other species of flowers come in a plethora of shapes, sizes and colours. This has been the result of hybrid pollination over the years. Lilies bloom around late May to early October, depending upon the variety. Though lilies have a pleasing appearance and smell, not all varieties are the same. Some lilies are even poisonous.
The white Lily of the valley or the French Muguet, is the most common variety of the lily flower, which can be seen in full bloom during the early spring months. It is delicate to touch and has a strong sweet fragrance that fills the air. The water lily varieties are also equally enchanting, though their fragrance is extremely mild.
Since time immemorial, white lilies have been used in flower decorations for homes, weddings and funerals, merely for the choice in colours and fragrances that this specie of flower offers. The women love the scent of the lilies and one often finds perfumes with the fragrance of the lilies. Stems of various water lilies are edible and are consumed by the people as a vegetable. Some American Indians also prepare dough from the stems of these flowers.
The white Lily is a symbolic flower in Christianity and is suggestive of purity and virginity. The lily associated with the virgins is known as the Madonna Lily. Many a literary texts and authors draw allusions to this mystic flower.

Duffle Coats refuse to go out of fashion - Grays Outfitters Blackburn
PRLog (Press Release) –
Nov 17, 2009 – Despite their wartime origins, duffle coats refuse to go out of fashion...
As British as afternoon tea and Asbos, this coat has survived two world wars, ban the bomb marches and the vagaries of fashion for nearly 100 years to become a classic.
Lily Allen and Kelly Osborne wear theirs on the party circuit; Gwyneth Paltrow saves hers for strolling with her children in New York, while model Laura Bailey turned up in one during London Fashion Week.
Rachel Hunter and Leah Wood, daughter of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, are fans. So too are Sir Bob Geldof, Clint Eastwood and Torville & Dean - not to mention a host of royals and, of course, its most famous wearer, Paddington Bear.
The cosy cover-up that unites them all is the humble duffle coat.
With its large, protective hood, heavyweight fabric, leather loops and horn "toggles", the coat started life as part of the uniform of the Royal Navy in the First World War.
It became standard issue in the Second World War, when two of its most enthusiastic supporters were Lt Col Sir David Stirling, the founder of the SAS, and "Monty" (Field Marshal Montgomery), who lent his name to the Burberry duffle coat, still available today.
After the war, large stocks of army surplus duffle coats were acquired by the British company Gloverall and became an instant hit. When that supply ran out, in 1954, Gloverall began making its own version, adapting the fit and style of the military coat for everyday wear.
In 1956 a ladies' cut was produced, followed by a version for children. Almost overnight, the duffle coat was being worn by everyone from Bing Crosby to politician Michael Foot, university students and the "Angry Young Men" of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the Left.
However, it was Charlotte Ford, granddaughter of the car magnate Henry Ford, who moved the coat a few notches up the style scale when, in 1965, she eloped to St Moritz with Greek shipping magnate Stavros Niarchos wearing a Gloverall classic.
The Gloverall duffle coat remains largely unchanged to this day. A traditional example of "le style anglais", which has legions of followers, the coat continues to appeal to the style-conscious all over the world (80 per cent of the coats from Gloverall's factory in east London are exported to Japan and Europe), while many British customers buy duffle coats as part of their children's (expensive) private school uniforms.
Burberry, which traces its earliest duffle coats back to the days of the great explorers, such as Ernest Shackleton, in the early 1900s, has latterly snatched the duffle crown, with designer Christopher Bailey's endorsement.
Burberry's Montgomery duffle coats, along with the Gloverall classics, have always been made in England, and have been spotted on actress Thandie Newton, Bryan Ferry and his sons Otis and Isaac, and members of the bands Razorlight and Kasabian.
With that heritage and cast of supporters, who cares if Kate Moss prefers leather bomber jackets and vintage fur? The duffle coat is here to stay.
Gloverall Duffle Coat
