The Gift That Gives Twice -- Moms Who Kick™ 2010 Calendar to Support Breast Cancer Research

PR Log (Press Release) – Dec 03, 2009 – Long Island, NY. – Moms Who Kick, a charitable initiative that produces a yearly calendar to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s breast cancer research program, is proud to introduce its 2010 calendar.  For those shoppers looking for a gift with purpose, this gift is one that gives twice with the net proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society.

Breast Cancer is not a new disease and it is hard to find anyone who hasn’t been touched by it in some way.  The Moms Who Kick initiative represents a collective passion to help with this cause.  “The Moms Who Kick group is remarkable in so many ways,” said Carole Vande Velde, Director of Corporate Relations for the American Cancer Society.

The Moms Who Kick calendar features b&w artistic photos of moms over 40 who are in excellent physical condition, train hard in the martial arts, kickboxing, and a variety of other sports.  Plus, new for this year, there is a special spotlight of two Long Island moms, under the age of 40, who have been through their own breast cancer journey.

Moms Who Kick encourages everyone to get involved by purchasing a calendar to show his or her support. The suggested donation for each calendar is $25.00.  Calendars can be ordered online at momswhokick.org and directly through the American Cancer Society by calling 631.300.3175.  Each purchase is tax deductible and a donation receipt will be supplied.  Calendars can also be purchased in person at The Baykery Café, 124 South Street, Oyster Bay, New York; Panza Mixed Martial Arts, 1 Glen Street, Glen Cove, NY, and at Estilo Salon, 7941 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury, NY.
